In Year 4/5 this year we have 30 amazing children! The class teacher Miss Rees, is supported by Mrs Lobb daily. Mrs Williams teaches the class Thursday and Friday mornings.  On this page you will find information and updates from Miss Rees.

 Spring Term 2025

Welcome to the new year and the Spring Term!

This term we will be taking a look at the past through our topic Towers, Turrets and Tunnels.  We will be going back in time to explore how castles changed over time and what daily Medieval life was like.  We will visit a Welsh castle and learn about our heritage. Here is our starting overview and we will add to our topic with the inclusion of pupil voice.

Autumn Term 2024

Welcome to the Autumn term. Our topic is ‘Sparkle & Shine’ where we will be looking at what makes Maesycwmmer shine. We will be exploring our community and researching the past.  Here’s our overview for starters….

The children have access to a variety of different resources from home to support their learning. These include the G-Suite, Hwb, Spelling Shed, Mathletics, Times Tables RockStars and Scratch.
